Equipment and Weapons: In order to turn completely invisible, Cash has to be wearing a special jumpsuit and equipment belt that is made of a polymer that acts symbiotically with his DNA and turns invisible when he does. The belt includes compartments and a holster for his M1911 sidearm that uses a mirroring effect to ensure that whatever is held inside of them will also appear transparent.
Powers: Cash's base strengths are inherited from his father. The infinity formula is in his blood but, unlike his half-brother Nick, Cash just inherited a few traits and those are peak durability, agility, and stamina. These are great strengths to his mutation and something that Cash is happy to have gotten from his Dad (he thinks the shared infinity formula traits brings them closer together). The infinity traits allow him to take a little more damage than the average human, move a little faster and with more grace, and his stamina allows him to last longer during physical activity.
His notable power is invisibility, and it's not just any invisibility. He is able to not only turn transparent, but the mass of his body changes in a way that if he, for example, were to walk through trip-wires or detection-lasers, he would not trip them and trigger an alarm. This change in his body mass only occurs in small amounts – he could not do the same going through a security curtain or anything that would cover the entire area of his body.
Skills: Excellent marksman, brown belt in Krav Maga, intermediate pianist, amateur artist, advanced cook, logical thinker, and good listener.
Weaknesses:
1.) Being invisible is Cash's default state ever since the incident. He's learned to maintain visibility through concentration over the years and it has become second nature, kind of like breathing, though sometimes it lapses when he's sleeping. When he's surprised or stressed, he has difficulty maintaining visibility. His transparency might flicker intermittently or he might vanish altogether depending on the degree of stress or surprise.
2.) If he's expected to go into a situation in which he maintains transparency, he must either be equipped with his DNA specific jumpsuit or nude – he cannot turn his mundane clothing or accessories invisible.
3.) Cash has problems resisting being emotionally compromised. He loves his family and his few friends intensely and has not been conditioned to properly deal with threats to their safety.

Personality: Cash can be described overall as quiet. This doesn't mean he's shy or easily intimidated; he simply likes to think things through before adding his piece. He doesn't really believe in making conversation for the sake of conversation – if he has something to say, he'll say it, but it's usually worth saying. Unlike his father, he prefers intellectual pursuits as well as artistic ones. He's played piano since he was a child, courtesy of his mother, and he also has an affinity for drawing and reading. He would much rather be in his room with his keyboard or a pad of sketch paper than at a party. Because of this, Cash is afraid that his father is disappointed that his son doesn't exhibit more traditional masculine traits and interests. It’s partially due to this that Cash has become involved in espionage. He wants to make his father proud, but Cash also wants to be his own person and not live in the shadow of Nick Fury.
Another way to describe him could be as the all-American boy next door. He says "Yes, ma'm," and "Yes, sir" and knows to respect his elders, teachers, and peers. He's a pretty mellow guy all around, but fiercely loyal to his friends. One such example is JJ Stark. They've been friends since they were little, and even though their personalities are greatly contrasting, Cash would do anything for JJ. If JJ called him up at two in the morning and said, “Cash, I need help burying a body,” Cash would be on his doorstep in fifteen minutes with a shovel, a bag of lie, and a handsaw.
Cash doesn't like loud noises, crowds, or large gatherings. He's introverted, not anti-social – he just prefers to be alone or with a few close friends. He enjoys jogging and playing tennis, and has also tried to get into meditation, but he’s struggling with it at the moment. He always has an eye patch tied around the underside of his left wrist. It's an old eye relic of his father's that Cash keeps as a sentimental lucky charm. To the casual observer, it only looks like a leather thong tied with the patch hidden by the width of his wrist. Sometimes he'll rub it when he's feeling agitated or anxious, kind of like a worry stone.
History: Nick Fury seems to be the type that would be married to his job and nothing else. Nevertheless, he met and began dating a human- and mutant rights lawyer when they were both in the latter part of their lives. Both worked hectic schedules and both didn't mind not seeing the other for months -- so it seemed to be a match made in heaven. They never thought they'd have a family and were content with each other – until Roxanne found out that she was pregnant. Their only child Cassius Nicholas Fury was born while his father was away on SHIELD business. This set a pattern for most of Cassius' (or "Cash" for short) life. His father was often away with his mother being the dominant presence in his life. That being said, Nick Fury was no dead-beat dad. When he was home, he made his wife and son his top priorities.
Nevertheless, a frequently-absent father left its mark. Cash became more interested in arts than gung-ho masculine activities. Cash showed an early interest in drawing and music; Nick would have countless scribbles stashed in his gear when he went off on SHIELD-related activities and Cash pounded away for hours on the plastic xylophone piano Roxanne bought him. Cash began taking piano lessons at five and never stopped drawing. Nick bought Cash a BB gun and asked for him to draw monsters, which he in turn had made into targets. Father and son quickly bonded at the shooting range over ammunition and art. It also became apparent very early that Cash had inherited some of his father’s traits from the infinity formula. He almost never became sick, and was always a robust and healthy child.
Being an only child with a father that was often away on business wasn't too lonely. Through his dad's affiliations, Cash became early friends with JJ Stark, son of Tony Stark. Cash doesn’t really remember JJ ever being anything but his friend. Their friendship endures even today and if Cash would ever trust someone with his life besides his parents, it would be JJ Stark.
When he was about seven, his dad came home for a week or two and brought some of his work home with him. Cash had been good at staying out of his father's office when he was younger, but this trip he somehow was able to get into his father's SHIELD gear without supervision. As he looked through the cases and bags he found a pouch that resembled a Capri Sun. Inside was a sparkling liquid and Cash, more concerned with what it tasted like instead of the reason why it sparkled, took a bendy straw and drank the contents. What happened next irreversibly changed Cash's life. The liquid was a prototype invisibility solution that was supposed to be temporary and on an adult it might have been. For the seven year-old, though, the solution changed his DNA, making his default appearance to be translucent.
Even though Nick and Roxanne rushed their son to SHIELD and the scientists and doctors who designed the serum, there was nothing they could do. They kept Cash at SHIELD headquarters for several months as they unsuccessfully tried to reverse the effects, but when that didn’t work they instead worked on Cash being able to maintain visibility. Once Cash was visible for a whole week without flickering, they released him into his parents’ custody once more. Nick was severely reprimanded for the security breach and pulled out of the field, something that Cash still feels guilt over. SHIELD also required Cash to come in for semi-annual checkups and testing to see how the serum progressed on a living subject but, other than that, they left him alone. Perhaps it was due to Nick’s many years of service but, whatever the reason, Cash was thankful.
Cash grew up, maintaining visibility and passing for a normal kid. Though he and JJ were as different as night and day and on completely different trajectories, that didn’t stop them from maintaining their friendship over long distances with phone calls, inappropriate e-mails, and late night text messages. Cash considers their bond unbreakable and impenetrable, and still vividly remembers hearing the news of Tony Stark’s death while at school and running out of class without a single word, catching a cab, and getting to JJ’s side as quickly as possible. JJ is the brother that Cash never had, and he would sacrifice almost anything for his friend.
When Cash was sixteen, Nick fell into a depression upon his retirement from SHIELD. And though Cash had never been keen on following his father into espionage, he started asking his father questions to try and pull him out of his rut. Questions turned into demonstrations, which turned into training, and by the time Cash turned eighteen, his father had imbued him with enough knowledge on espionage that Cash began to think… maybe he could turn this into a living. It would make his father proud and maybe be some small measure of repayment for the elder Fury being stuck behind a desk for his son’s mistake. Not only that, but Cash was good at spying, due to his invisibility and his father’s accumulated knowledge.
While other friends went off to college (or was a chairman at Stark Industries), Cash instead worked for SHIELD under a contingent contract for two years, receiving training and low-profile missions. However, too many people made “chip off the old block” references that Cash resented, so once his contract was up, he instead became a freelance spy. He will not choose jobs that are morally gray or ambiguous, and never anything that seems remotely shady (though, to be honest, he has indulged a couple of requests from JJ).
