He's always adding more, whenever he can scrape together the money or find a tattoo artist he can charm into giving him one.
Equipment and Weapons:
Powers:
Hellcycle;; The last gift Johnny Blaze left his son was his original, sentient bike. The Hellcycle appears as a 1960 FLH Panhead when not in it's true form. Once Carver transforms the bike follows suit, igniting and spouting bony protrusions from it's gas tank, fenders, and spokes. Blue fire replaces the tires and with every rev of the engine flame bursts from it's exhaust. Like it's owner the Hellcycle is incredibly durable. Even if damaged it has been shown to regenerate due to the magical energies imbued within it. Once blown to smithereens the bike reassembled it self in a matter of minutes. The bike has the ability to achieve speeds that no mortal wheeled machine can, being able to match the average speedster. Because of it's mystical properties it's possible for the bike to drive on walls, ceilings, and even on water. To top all of this off the Hellcycle responds to Carver's telepathic commands. His family has been shown to contact their vehicles from halfway across the world, calling them to their side. It does take the bike time to get there though. With all of the fire spouting out of it and consuming it the Hellcycle can't safely run on gasoline. Instead, in both forms, it runs on the magical fire that is so readily available.
Aya Sawed-off Shotgun;; When transforming into the Rider isn't a viable option Carver resorts to good ol' fashion brute force. When that isn't an option he pulls out his trusty shotgun. A well worn, foot and a half long firearm capable of punching a dinner plate sized hole in a man at close range. Once Carver transforms he can demonize the gun, enhancing all of it capabilities and eliminating it's need to reload after every shot. Instead of bullets it fires concentrated blasts of Hellfire.
Buck Knife;; A simple hunting knife, usually strapped to Carver's belt. Always sharpened and ready for use, no matter what that might be. Carver's not trained in the art of knife fighting, but he's competent enough to know that he's supposed to stick the other guy with the pointy end. When demonized it's sheathed in Hellfire and has it's cutting ability enhanced, enabling it to cut through solid steel.
Demonic Transformation;; Carver is a conduit for the his vengeful ancestor, Noble Kale. Noble is a being of immense power, ruling over Hell, for a brief time, and being the Angel of Death. At his most powerful he was able to easily vanquish Blackheart and revive his previous host, Daniel Ketch. Noble, after losing the throne, was severely injured and now exist in a weakened state, requiring a human host, a member of the Kale/Blaze family to survive. Even so, he retains enough power to be a threat to the rulers of Hell and capable of standing toe to toe with some of the world's most powerful. Having to rely on Carver's physical form reduces most of his capabilities, but prevents him from burning out and allowing him regain his strength. Most of their powers lie inaccessible until Carver transforms, transcending both flesh and humanity, becoming the demonic Ghost Rider, preparing his body for the demonic energies his cohabitant controls.Skills:
The transformation process is excruciatingly painful. Carver's entire body is consumed by an ethereal, blue flame that eats away everything, save his skeleton and clothes. Carver gains a foot in height and gains close to fifty pounds of calcium after the change. His skeletal frame is wreathed in blue flame and from one eye socket glows an incandescent blue eye. Strangely, the eye never remains in the same socket, often drifting through his empty cranium from side to side. The eye seems to just be a focal point for his Penance Stare and even though he only has one still retains 20/20 vision in this form. Any clothing he's wearing goes through a process he calls "demonification", gaining spikes, tears, and various chains. Because of his status as a drifter Carver only owns one pair of riding clothes and wears them almost daily. Over time, they've become his default costume. A tattered black hoody, often drawn over his features while riding. Gouts of blue flame sporadically spurt forth from beneath the cowl. Atop that he sports a worn, black, riding jacket with several kevlar plates placed in strategic areas, bone like protrusions outlining them. Holey jeans held up by a three foot long chain and square toed engineer boots complete the ensemble.
Carver has yet to fully master speaking as the Ghost Rider. Anything he says comes out as a guttural, demonic roar or menacing cackle. With effort he can form fragmented sentences in a voice that sounds like nails in a blender. He does possess more control over his transformations than his uncle and father, being able to control his transformations, for the most part. He cannot prevent his transformation while in the presence of evil or when innocent blood is shed around him. When he was younger he transformed once the sunset, but since growing into adulthood has gained more control and can delay the transformation until midnight. Where his Uncle lost complete control of his body once transformed, Carver retains partial control, sharing his body and actions with his long dead ancestor. Kale is capable of imposing his will upon the Rider and forcing him to act in the name of vengeance or depower the young dogooder if he gets out of hand. While in his human form Carver can communicate with Noble Kale through reflective surfaces, often seeking advice from the 18th century Rider.
Superhuman Strength;; Ghost Rider's body is composed entirely of the mystical Hellfire and bone. The Hellfire's magical properties grant the Rider super strength enabling to life thirty tons under optimal conditions.
Superhuman Durability and Stamina;; The Ghost Riders greatest physical ability is his durability. Being composed of nothing but magical, soul searing fire and bone he's capable of surviving immense amounts of physical punishment. Johnny Blaze was capable of taking blows from the Hulk with no signs of discomfort, save for a few broken bones that hung suspended in the mystical flame that constituted the rest of his form. Even when his head was destroyed by the green behemoth it regenerated soon after with no outward signs of injury. Carver has inherited this durability, though he has not reached the level of being able to stand toe to toe with the Hulk, possibly a Mini-Hulk, but not the fully grown World Breaker. Magic is a whole different subject entirely. Magic, especially pure forms, can injure him as easily if he was made of flesh and blood. Magical artifacts have much of the same effect.
Having no muscles, Carver does not generate fatigue toxins. The Rider is capable of exerting itself for an unknown amount of time because of this. While physical fatigue is no issue for the skeleton mental fatigue is, limiting how long he can exert himself.
Regenerative Factor;; Being made of magical fire and having control over it grants one a fair bit of control over their body. Ghost Rider can utilize this ability to heal most injuries in a manner akin Wolverine, Deadpool, and others in possession of a healing factor. His father was able to heal instantly from any wound, even having his skull obliterated by the Hulk. Carver can do much the same, but his lack of control limits his healing powers. What his father could do instantly takes Carver over an hour to do, usually leaving him disoriented afterwards and heaving fire and chains on the side of the road.
Hellfire Manipulation;; Hellfire is the Rider's most utilized weapon and the Spirit of Vengeance's power in it's purest form. Hellfire is a magical flame that burns both the physical and immaterial form of those it comes into contact with, specifically the soul. This allows Carver to attack those with phasing abilities, spirits, or other demonic entities. Having one's soul burned has no lasting effects. In time the soul, like the body heals, but the burning is just as painful as Carver's transformation. Hellfire in large enough quantities is capable of injuring even the Hulk. In the past the Rider's flames were red, but Carver's have appeared as a brilliant blue. The Rider can summon Hellfire from anywhere on his person and firing it as a projectile or using it to enhance his physical blows. A few of Carver's favorite ways of attacking with Hellfire are spitting it from his mouth in a manner similar to a dragon or firing it from his hands. The original Riders were skilled enough that they could make solid constructs from their flames, including bikes. Carver has yet to master this skill and shows little interest in it.
Demonificiation;; Carver, unlike his predecessors, has the ability to channel Hellfire through any weapon or motor vehicle modifying its physical appearance and granting it supernatural abilities. The process is temporary and maintaining it for too long is incredibly taxing on the Rider. If he loses his concentration on them they'll revert back to their original form. Vehicles gain most of the abilities of his Hellcycle, being able to defy physics to a certain extent, travel at incredible speeds, and becoming incredibly durable. They cannot, however, respond to his telepathic commands nor can they repair themselves. The coolness factor, as Carver calls it, and utility of it outweigh it's drawbacks, if used correctly.
Chain Generation;; Like the Riders before him Carver can create and manipulate chains of variable lengths from his body. The chains are strong enough to hold back a calm Hulk for a time and if applied properly can be used as a cutting weapon when spun, acting like a makeshift buzz-saw. The chains are more often set aflame and brandished as flails, used to bash the Riders foes into submission. The length of chains is easily manipulated and at maximum can stretch the length of an American football field. The chains, as an extension of the Rider's body, can be freely manipulated and are often used for surprise attacks. Carver can spew these chains from his mouth or fire them from his chest in a shotgun blast like attack. Earlier Riders' chains were virtually unbreakable by any means other than magic and were nearly infinite in their ability to grow.
Penance Stare;; The Rider's last trick up his flaming sleeve. The glowing blue eye bobbing around in his skull isn't for show. Upon locking eyes with anything with a soul Carver inflicts a trance upon them where in they are forced to see and experience all the pain and evil they've ever inflicted upon another. The more pain the target has inflicted the longer and more excruciating the process. While his predecessor's Penance Stare could look a person in an infinite loop of reliving their pain for all eternity, Carver's loop is entirely dependent upon the number and severity of transgressions a person has committed. His longest loop lasted three hours when he came face to face with a hitman. His shortest lasted ten seconds. During the loop Carver stands witness, learning all of the evils his victim has done in their life. There are several limits to this ability. The target must be able to see the Rider's eye and can not be under the influence of any mind altering drugs. If the target has more than two eyes the process fails. In any instance that the Penance Stare fails Carver is rendered unconscious. During a situation in which a Rider makes eye contact with another a mental battle begins. The loser often entering a catatonic state followed by a short period of insanity.
Vehicle Affinity;; If it has an engine Carver can drive it. It's not so much a super power or mutant ability so much as it's a natural inclination. He's by no means an expert when he gets behind the wheel or joystick or whatever it is, but he picks up on it faster than the average human.
Expert Motorcyclist;; Carver's been riding since he could balance on a bike. He's spent the last twenty years either under a bike or on top of one. It's not surprise that he's almost a good a rider as his father was, almost. By the time he was twelve he could already ride a wheelie for almost a mile, at sixteen he could ride the cage of death, by eighteen could have run off an joined the circus with no problems.
Gifted Mechanic;; Bikes are Carver's life, at least they were. If he wasn't riding a bike, he was working on one, and if he wasn't doing that he was reading about them. The surplus of bikes at Uncle Dan's place supplied him with more than enough material to practice on. He can build a hog from scratch and all but the most difficult of problems with a bike, like wrapping it around a tree. His skills are not superhuman, requiring all the necessary tools and parts to get the job done. He can make do with whats around, but the bike won't run nearly as well.
Magical Knowledge;; Carver's grown up around the mystical and studied under Noble Kale, former Lord of Hell, for most of his life. As he's put it he's "seen some shit"; demons, angels, gods, mythical creatures, the beginning of Armageddon, and even the Sorcerer Supreme. Over that time he's gained a deep understanding of the magical realm and most creatures that inhabit them. More importantly, he knows how to deal with them, even if he's not in his Rider form.
Weaknesses:
1.) Angelic Weapons;; Demonic energy and Angelic mix about as well as gasoline and fire. Anything enchanted with Holy Fire, the antithesis to Hellfire, or blessed by a Catholic priest has been shown cause physical damage to the Rider and interferes with his healing factor.
2.) Magic;; Magic hits Ghost Rider harder than most. Possibly because he's almost immaterial or runs on magic fire, whatever the reason whenever magic gets involved in a fight Carver tends to end up walking away battered and bruised. Binding magic is especially effective in either form. While human it prevents him from transforming and once in his Rider form it prevents him from moving.
3.) Carver;; As much as Carver hates to admit it he's the Ghost Rider's biggest weakness. In time, Noble Kale will eventually return to his original power level and outgrow his host. While Carver provides a safe place for the Angel of Death to gather up his strength, he also limits it's growing magical abilities. In his human form Carver has all the frailties of any other man. He can get sick, injured, and die quite easily.
4.) Strategy?;; Carver's not one for thinking things out. He's more the blow stuff up and ask questions later kind of guy. That's not to say that he's unintelligent, he's simply relied upon his superior strength and firepower for so long he doesn't think it necessary.
5.) Untrained;; Carver's never received any formal training in any form of combat. He's always relied heavily upon his fist and against anyone else in the same boat as him he'll usually come out on top. Against a trained combatant things are a little different.

Personality:
When people finish talking with Carver the first thing that comes out of their mouth is that he's the nicest guy they have ever met. With his goofy grin ever present on his bearded face and laid back demeanor it's hard not to like the guy. Maybe it's because he's played hero for so long, but the man's kind enough, or stupid enough, to give the shirt off his back to a complete stranger. They usually have a few complaints about the man though. His lack of a personal bubble or understanding of others, the way he constantly makes sarcastic remarks, or the fact that he curses like a sailor are what rub most people the wrong way. Despite those faults everyone finds the young man incredibly well adjusted. The only thing preventing him from making lasting friendships is his inability to settle down in one spot for too long. The man's always had the desire to keep moving and never being able to stay in one place for too long. This wanderlust has been with him since he was a child and his quest, while of the utmost importance, provided an opportunity.History:
Carver is surprisingly dutiful form a man who prioritizes freedom above almost everything else. His quest to save his father, his mission to seek out and punish evil, and his goal of being a proper hero; he serves them all while still trying to enjoy his life as best he can. Despite this sense of duty and heroism Carver's had a few run ins with the law. They've never made anything stick, but a few of the things he's been charged with have been breaking and entering, petty theft, disorderly conduct, and public intoxication. Nothing on the level of being a criminal mastermind, just a young man having fun. On the flip side, Carver is incredibly judgmental of hardened criminals, finding it hard to trust them and even going out of his way to goad them into physical altercations. Having seen the pain inflicted by every criminal he's come into contact with is a major factor behind this, having experienced the torment of their victims second hand. When forced to work with them his happy attitude vanishes, replaced by somber brooding and douchebaggery.
Carver's first love has always been engines. He loves the smell of them, the sound of them, the feel of them rumbling. Before his father's incident Carver had every intention of going to NYU to study mechanical engineering. With his dreams of designing bigger and faster engines put on hold he's got no outlet for his desire to tinker and create. Whenever the subject of cars or bikes comes up Carver goes off on a wild tangent, spilling everything that he knows about the subject in one massive monologue. Whenever he meets a fellow motorhead it's love at first sight for the man. He'll talk shop with his new best friend well into the night, after he's turned into a flaming pile of bones that has difficulty forming complete sentences.
As far as Carver's copilot is concerned he adores his "grandpa". The spirit has been with him for twenty one years and the talks and advice that he's given Carver had been indispensable. Even at the age of twenty four he still seeks Noble's counsel from time to time.Their relationship has been tense since the two set off on their journey to save Johnny Blaze. Carver's vicious methods and inability to use the Penance stare to it's full ability upsets his ancestor and Carver finds the spirits meddling troublesome. They love each other dearly and could not imagine parting, despite their differences. Carver has vocalized how weird it is now to go out on a date or try talking to a girl and then see Kale shaking his head at him in every beer mug and window.
When Carver becomes the Ghost Rider his personality takes on a dark twist. They fun loving do-gooder becomes a reckless, vengeance seeking fanatic. He cares little for public property and only his desire to have a good time and putting down villainy are his only desires. He can often be heard cackling like a madman while atop his bike and frequently "borrows" whatever vehicle he sees on his nightly escapades. His treatment of the wicked is more vicious, subjecting him to brutal beatings before turning their evil upon themselves. As the Rider Carver is unable to draw the line between going too far. Going so far as to kill several criminal that had faced his Penance stare and continued to subject others to his evils. He keeps this a secret as best he can, fearing the reaction of other heroes, but believing deep down that some evil needs to be exterminated.
For centuries the Kale family carried with them a curse, a portion of the Medallion of Power that contained a collection of Spirits of Vengeance. In the 18th century, Noble Kale, eventually summoned up the power of the medallion and became a Spirit like those trapped within it to dispense justice to those who wronged his loved ones. With every generation he possessed the oldest born male, continuing his legacy of vengeance with every child. Eventually the Kale family married into the Blazes and the curse continued. Because of a proverbial "deal with the devil", it skipped over the oldest son, Johnathon Blaze, and possessed Daniel. Daniel retained the spirit for a time before having it exorcised and gaining a new Spirit of Vengeance. From that point on the Blazes never heard or saw of their ancestor. They thought that their curse was over, destined to end with the death of Johnny and Dan. Curses, however, have a way of finding a way to live on...
Jonathan Carver Blaze was born to Johnny and his long time lover, Roxanne, six years after the end of the Civil War. Things were quiet then. Johnny had all but retired from the Superhero game and the couple had taken up residence in Las Vegas, nabbing a gig at a hotel performing in stunt shows. When Carver was born there were no signs of possession and Johnny even went as far as to call in a favor from an old friend, Doctor Strange, to check to see if Kale was in his son. To the Sorcerer Supreme there was no signs indicating that Carver was anything more than a happy, bouncing, baby boy. The curse finally seemed to have come to an end and Noble Kale was no more. The spirit, however, was merely pulling itself back together, weakened by it's exorcism. Three years it took for it to gain enough strength to possess a new host and lucky for it there was a bright, shiny new one.
Most of the Riders didn't experience their first change until they were adults. Carver would break a lot of the rules that were set forth by the curse. None of the Blazes can explain why Carver changed as early as he did and as far as Doctor Strange can surmise it was because of the influence of Johnny's own spirit and Roxanne's affinity for all that is magical. Whatever the reason, Carver's first transformation was at the tender age of three. Late, several weeks after Carver's third birthday, Johnny and Roxanne heard a cry. Roxanne went to check on her son and ran back in the room after a few moments to get her husband. When they returned to Carver's room they found his crib a flame and their son, a flaming skeleton atop his tricycle. When the boy noticed his parents he turned to face them, his single blue eye bobbing in his head, and let out a terrifying giggle. Johnny did the only thing he could think of, he transformed and chased his son around the house. After a forty five minute chase that ended up on the streets of Las Vegas he caught his son and brought him to every spell caster he knew. None of them could exorcise the spirit from Carver. Their son was stuck with the curse that the family had feared for so long.
Dealing with Carver's unique twist on the curse was difficult. His changes came sporadically. He would sleep soundly for weeks on end only to awake one night with a horrifying scream and terrorize his father and Las Vegas. During the day his parents were careful to never take him near the heart of Sin City, for fear of his transformation. They tried to give him as normal a childhood as possible, but between his father's once in a blue moon excursions, the spirit inside of him, and his transformations it was impossible. Carver was six when Kale had gained enough energy to manifest partially. This time he could materialize himself in reflective surfaces. Carver, a curious and brave child, just had to probe this new figure in his life for information. The first time Carver talked to the figure he would soon call Grandpa Kale would be in the gas tank of his father's own motorcycle. His parents were worried about the situation, seeing their son talk to a flaming skull in every mirror, window, and puddle he came across. Carver quickly began to adore this figure and would tell his parents about all of the conversations he had with Grandpa.
The family kept what normalcy they could. Carver loved his parents and spent much of his time with his father either riding bikes or learning how to keep them running. At school he maintained a B average, despite his sleep deprivation from his transformations. His cheerful personality garnered him many friends, despite his odd habit of talking to himself in the mirror. As Carver grew older his transformations at night grew more frequent. What originally happened once ever few months began to happen monthly, then ever few weeks, eventually it happened every night. Carver was in his early teens by this time. His parents had forbidden him from venturing outside during the night for fear of what might happen to him or Las Vegas. He used his time as a young Ghost Rider as best he could. Catching up on homework, playing video games, destroying tv series on Netflix. When has a thirteen year old ever followed the rules? After watching all of the series on Netflix for a third time Carver was growing bored. The outside was calling him and he couldn't fight it anymore.
In the dead of night when his father had already had his bi-weekly superhero night Carver took off atop his dirt bike. He was astounded to find that it transformed when he got on it, but not unhappy. He took off into the heart of Vegas, ready to play with the powers he had pent up inside of him. His first excursion ended with him running into a purse snatcher, literally. With no experience using any of his powers he charged his dirt bike at the villain and jumped off of it, tackling the man to the ground. Carver used his Penance stare for the first time that night, accidentally setting the man into a loop that lasted five minutes. As Carver shook off the visions of sin he stumbled towards the owner of the purse, who ended up being a drag queen, only to use his stare again. This time his victim was locked in the loop for a full hour. Disheartened, Carver jumped back on his bike and went back home.
As he prepared to lay down in his flame retardant bed Carver stopped in the bathroom to talk to Grandpa. The older man laughed at his descendant's shenanigans and informed him that he had a lot of work to do in the Spirit of Vengeance department. From that night forward, except when Johnny went out, Carver and Kale practiced in the Blazes' basement. Carver picked up on the abilities of the Rider quickly. Especially the use of the chains. This continued for years, until Carver was eighteen. Several weeks after his high school graduation Carver was preparing to go off to college on the East Coast, where all the superheroes seemed to gather. His parents had caught on to his training and his father had even begun to help out, only so his son wouldn't hurt himself. Things had gotten as close to normal as they could in that five year span. Being normal wasn't in the cards for the Blazes though and tragedy was about to strike.
Blackheart was one of the Ghost Rider's oldest foes and had destroyed the Blaze family on several occasions. He would do so one more time. Johnny Blaze's powers were unlike his sons. Where Carver's came from Noble Kale, the Angel of Death, Johnny's came from an ancient demon name Zarathos, a contender for ruling Hell. Blackheart often sought out the power of others in order to attain enough to unseat his father Mephisto, the current ruler. During what Carver had planned to be his last outing in Vegas before leaving for NYU to study Mechanical engineering he ran into something he'd never seen before; a horde of demons. In his time he'd fought one or two along side his father, but he'd never seen so many gathered in one place before. Young and foolhardy he tried to take them on. He lost, badly. He was quickly snatched up and taken back to Blackheart's own little patch of Hell. It was there he used Carver as bait to call out his old nemesis.
Johnny took it hook, line, and sinker, but what other choice did he have? It was his only son. The Rider descended into Hell atop his flaming bike, distributing justice with chain, shotgun, and Hellfire. By the time he had gotten to his old enemy he was exhausted, the demons leeching off his magical energy as he traveled further into the realm. By the time he was there Blackheart was more than a match for him. Carver watched as the two did battle. His father, tired from the battles from before, turned over control to his demonic partner, Zarathos, something Blackheart was counting on. As soon as the switch happened Blackheart pulled out a strange amulet, a new Medallion of Power, the artifact used to seal Zarathos' power eons ago. The demonspawn slammed it into the older Ghost Rider and Carver watched as his flames were sucked in, followed by Zarathos, and finally, his father's soul. Rage rekindled Carver's Hellfire and magic. Firing out a massive burst of Hellfire and chains he broke free of his bonds and forced away Blackheart and his minions. Carver snatched up the medallion and tried to flee only to be stopped by his captor. They fought over the ancient necklace, but their battle was interrupted by a greater force.
Mephisto, the one who bound Carver's father with Zarathos emerged, amused by the banter. Gleefully, he plucked the medallion from the bickering children and proclaimed a challenge. He would split the medallion into six equal parts and spread them across the world. The first to assemble them would have claim to it's contents and power. Carver knew he had no chance of beating what most assumed to be the Devil and was forced to agree to the conditions. With that the deal was struck and the race to collect the six shards began. Needless to say, Carver did not go off to school that year. He hopped on his father's bike, returned home to his mother and explained the situation. With no other options Carver set out to find the rest of the shards. In the six years since he's collected one and encountered many heroes and villains on the West Coast. In his exploits he's become known for his destructive nature and excessive creation of collateral damage. Despite his heroics he's been labeled as a menace by most.
